Coming Back to Heart-Center

Angela Towers is a yogini, public-health researcher, childbirth enthusiast, and mom of two bouncing boys and a sweet baby girl. Her background is rooted in 10 years of bench and social sciences research (BS - 2005, MSPH - 2009) and 15 years of power yoga. She began her yoga path to manage back pain and was drawn to the lesser-known benefits of heart and mind. During her first pregnancy, she found a similar, deep love for the local birthing and parenting community. Becoming a mother profoundly changed her life and inspired her to "come back to heart-center" to support others as a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT200 - 2010), Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE - 2013), and DONA Certified Birth Doula (CD(DONA) - 2014). She has continued on this path with coordinating discussion groups for expecting/new mothers, expanding her training as a birth professional and yoga instructor, and collaborating with many inspiring colleagues. Yoga and positive birth experiences have brought healing, focus, and strength to her life, and she is excited to help others experience this.
